Where exactly does Chapel Hill Real Estate begin and end?  There are several definitions of Chapel Hill Real Estate.  The broadest would be zip code.  For example Chapel Hill 27517 and 27516 include homes for sale in Chapel Hill City and schools but also includes some Durham County Real Estate, Chatham County Real Estate or Orange County Real Estate.  Some homes for sale may be in Chapel Hill City but are not  in Chapel Hill Carrboro School District.  Many buyers are satisfied with the lower taxes on their Chatham or Durham County Chapel Hill Real Estate with a mailing address set by the Chapel Hill zip code  - click for comparative tax rate info   www.freemanrealtygroupnc.com/Realty/Content/Page/Property-Tax-Rates.html

The narrowest definition of homes for sale in Chapel Hill Real Estate would be in the incorporated city of Chapel Hill and only those homes for sale in the Chapel Hill part of the school district.  The three high schools are Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and East Chapel Hill schools.  However, there are homes for sale in Chapel Hill City that are actually in Durham county and in Durham schools.  These would be in the Jordan High School area.  For those homes in Chatham coounty, the Northwoods High school. If Chapel Hill / Carrboro Schools are important to you, include the appropriate schools in your MLS search.  To get a broad look at homes for sale in the entire Chapel Hill Carrboro school district, enter the 3 high schools - Chapel Hill High School, East Chapel Hill High Scholl and Carrboro High School in the MLS search.  To determine which Chapel Hill / Carrboro HIgh, Middle or Elementary school covers what area you can review the school maps at the following link
